rock

From Vivi October 2009 issue

I like the studded sandals from the 1st pic.

working from home..

I arrived in Japan last Tuesday, and I started working two days after. The only difference from Philly is that I'm working from home now. It feels very strange working from home. It is so easy to get up and start working in pajamas and glasses (I'm legally blind) without even brushing my teeth (gross). So I decided to make it a rule that I change to regular clothes and put make-up on when I work, just as I would do if I commute to office.

As a proof, here.. I'm not wearing pajamas!
This is from last Thursday. We'll see how long it will last..

Gingham halter top: H&M
Skirt: handmade by me
Belt: Gap
Pumps: Zara, borrowed from my sister

I was inspired by pattern-mixing from here and here.

Omarion dance contest

Tank: Indio (Japanese shop)
Skirt: D&G, thrifted for $30
Vest: my sister's

One of the benefits of having a sister is we can borrow each other's clothes. Well, sometimes it leads to a fight. But since my sister is in Taiwan now, I sneak into her room and borrowed this vest.

Today Andy and I went to a near by mall to hang out there. They had a dance contest, and at the end, Omarion came in and sang. It was cool.
This is not the best pic, but the one in wife-beater is him!

Wrapped up my five years in Philly and heading back home..

Andy and I wrapped up our life in Philly and just moved all the way to Japan. You can see my apartment was all emptied out in the pic... it was our first place together since we got married. It was sad to move on. Got a new black lace bra, after being inspired by Rumi from FashionToast.. 12 bucks at H&M!

Before we left, we hung out with our friends a lot. I like Philly in the summer. Took advantage of Center city sips every Wednesday, sitting outside with drink...

Went to Franklin Fountain to get a fresh handmade icecream
Went to G loung..
Went out with my new zara dress. got this on sale for $5.99!
Painted nails in neon pink..
cried after receiving an amethyst ring from my girlfriend as a farewell gift
Good bye Philly!

Inspiration from European style website

All images are from Stockholm Street Style.
Oversized tanktops, lots of rings and bangles, zipper detail, khaki button down shirt worn as a military jacket, shorts and stripes. I love them all.

i don't like my feet

My least favorite part of my body is my feet. Why? Because they are relatively big for a Japanese (I'm 7 and a half), and have absolutely no arch. On top of that, I have a small bump on thumb because of wearing heals too long. I also get a dry feet during summer from walking a lot in flip flops.

But since I started using Bur's Bee's coconut foot cream, I began to hate my feet less. I still don't like them, but am learning to deal with them. This coconut cream is great - just apply it on hard part on your feet after shower, then wear cotton socks before going to bed.

August wish list

1. Purple shorts
2. Petal heels (via Jak & Jil Blog)
3. Lagos ring
4. Chunky cream color sweater
5. Black tights

It's still August, but I'm already thinking and excited about the fall fashion. Maybe because we've had a fairly cool summer here in Philadelphia. Usually, it's hot and humid in the summer here, but I haven't had to use the air conditioner much this summer.
The heals from Jak and Jil are the coolest thing.. Love lace detail in ankle boots.
Thinking of many colorful shorts in ths fall, paired with black pair of tights. and Lagos. I love Lagos rings. Lagos ring will be the next thing for me to purchase when I want to treat myself!

sentimental... and moving sale!

Sorry for lack of update. I'm just running around taking care of stuff and saying good bye to people. My church and Bible Study which meets on Tuesday nights gave Andy and I the card above. It was six pages of messages from people! I've never gotten a card like this.

My blog and etsy shop will be bit slow this month. I cannot accept any more custom orders for this month because of the move. Although, I am having sales since I would like to reduce the amount of stuff I have to carry from Philly to Japan. Not all the items are listed as "Sales", but if you are interested, please inquire the discount at chieduncan@gmail.com! The sale will last til August 19th, and after that, the shop will be closed until September 1st.
